The Urine Protein Creatinine Ratio (UPCR) test is a valuable diagnostic tool that provides critical insights into kidney function. By measuring the levels of protein and creatinine (a waste product produced by muscle cells) in a urine sample, this test helps detect and monitor kidney-related conditions. Under normal circumstances, healthy kidneys filter waste products like creatinine, allowing them to exit the body through urine.
